History of the Super Flyweight Division
Super Flyweight (Junior Bantamweight) was first recognised by the WBC in 1980 to fill the gap between Flyweight and Bantamweight.
The division gained huge popularity in the 2010s thanks to the Superfly series, headlined by Roman 'Chocolatito' González and Srisaket Sor Rungvisai.
It remains one of the most action-packed weights in the sport, with frequent high-quality unifications.
Weight Cut Tips for Super Flyweight
115 lb fighters typically walk at 122–126; a 4–5 lb water cut on fight week is normal with morning weigh-ins.
