History of the Lightweight Division
Lightweight has been a cornerstone division since the 1880s and is one of boxing's eight original classes.
The division is currently in a golden era with Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney, Vasiliy Lomachenko, Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn Davis all active in or near it.
Historical greats include Roberto Durán, who is widely regarded as the greatest lightweight of all time.
Weight Cut Tips for Lightweight
Lightweights often walk 145–155 and cut hard in the final 10 days with carb depletion and water loading.
